In this episode of When It Hits The Fan we chat to Kate Leeming. Kate is a record-breaking long-distance cyclist from Melbourne, Australia.

In 2010, she became the first person to cycle an unbroken line from Africa’s most westerly point to its most easterly point. The expedition, known as Breaking the Cycle, took in 22,000km of the continent’s toughest terrain – as well as an ambush from Ninja rebels in Congo-Brazzaville.
